These photos were taken November 2008 at Crown Hill Cemetery in Tulsa County, Oklahoma. Crown Hill Cemetery has been around since at least the late 1800s and was officially chartered by the state of Oklahoma in 1931. It has for years been known as a black cemetery, and a majority of its customers still come from the African-American community. Though currently Caucasian and Hispanic families alike are buried in this 40-acre cemetery.
